Mr. Yau obtains his law degree from the University of London and post-graduate certificate in laws (PCLL) from the University of Hong Kong in 1995. He is now an LLM candidate of Renmin University of PRC in Chinese Laws. With over 15 years working experience in various Government Departments involving law enforcement and complaints investigation, Mr. Yau understands the needs of each of his clients and cares about solving their problems.
Mr. Yau has hand-on experience in wide spectrum of legal work ranging from complicated civil, criminal legal practice and cross boarder legal work involving PRC laws. He advises on food and catering business, commercial and company listings matters and on commercial litigation. Mr. Yau speaks fluent English, Putonghua, Cantonese and Haka dialect.
Mr. Yau is a Part-time lecturer/speaker for The Open University of Hong Kong, HKMA, HKIAC, HKMC, HKIArb, Commercial Crime Bureau, YWCA and is a popular speaker for many other Institutions.
Mr. Yau was a coach for Advanced Mediation Course held by Baptist University (2009), one of the Hong Kong Delegate members of Dalian Arbitration/Mediation Conference (2002), a co-speaker for Hong Kong Mediation Council in Macau Arbitration/Mediation Conference (2002), and a coach for Law Society Advanced Mediation Training Courses (2009). He was also one of the co-authors of a Chinese book on cross-border marriages (2008).
